1. From which number will I receive text messages and calls?

Urgent messages (e.g. school closings) will be sent/received from 1-844-722-4010 . General communications (e.g. report cards, exams) will come from 1-877-634-2525 . For greater responsiveness, we suggest saving these numbers to your contacts and considering assigning them a distinctive ringtone.

2. Why do I need to enter a registration code?

The registration code ensures that only authorized individuals (parents, students, employees) can sign up for Riverside School Board notifications. This is an additional measure to ensure the security and confidentiality of communications.

3. What should I do if I don't receive notifications?

Make sure your contact information is up to date and that the Cobalt number is saved in your contacts. If the problem persists, contact CobaltSupport@rsb.qc.ca.

4. How do I change my preferences or turn off notifications?

You can adjust your preferences by logging into your account on the registration platform or by contacting our support service.

5. What happens to my data at the end of the school year?

Data is deleted at the end of each school year to ensure confidentiality. You will need to re-register your information at the beginning of the year to continue receiving relevant notifications.

6. Do I have to re-register my information at the start of each school year?

Yes, at the start of each school year, it will be necessary to re-register your information to ensure that the contact details are up to date and that you receive notifications in a timely manner.

7. Can I add other family members or a responsible person to receive notifications?

Each family member or responsible person wishing to receive notifications must complete their own registration form. Only authorized individuals, such as parents, legal guardians, authorized representatives, students or Riverside School Board employees, may register.

8. What is Cobalt and what is its role?

Cobalt is a secure platform used by Riverside School Board to communicate effectively with its community.

 

Cobalt also allows school management to quickly report emergency situations and receive support in the steps to follow. At the same time, RSB response teams are mobilized, receiving their tasks in the right sequence and at the right time.
